Do you have a bunch of items, products, or merchandise around your house that you know you want to get rid of, but would rather sell than just give away? Are you looking to make some side money without putting in the extra hours that a part-time job would require? Is there a high probability that you will be on a mobile device, tablet, or laptop by the end of tonight? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I have another one just for you: Why Aren't You Selling on eBay Yet?!
eBay has provided a simple way to set up an account; whether you are deciding to sell products online or even purchase items as a buyer. The process takes only a few minutes, and requires some basic information about yourself. Although most of it is straightforward, the only part that can become a little confusing is connecting your eBay account to your PayPal account - a task that is generally required for all eBay sellers.
In this post, I go over some of the experience I have had with eBay as well as why you should start using their platform..... that is, after you read this post first!

1.) You can submit items for sale in as little as two minutes. You typically should include the basics on each item description such as; condition of item, brand, category, and dimensions. Take note about this part because this can also be critical in the abilities for your products to be sold. There are two reasons for this: a.) Customers want to know specific details about something before they intend to make a purchase, and b.) Your items may show up more often if you provide more intricate information about them.
2.) There are many occasions when I have a product, and do not even have to put the effort in providing the details for it. This is due to eBay's abilities of finding previous products sold on their platform that were similar, or even picking the exact product you plan on selling if you decide to scan the bar code. You should be aware of everything that is mentioned on the suggested item description if you are to pick it since there maybe some details that are not correct (i.e. your item might be used as compared to brand new).
3.) I've been able to take the money I made from the items I sold, and place that income directly into my investment platforms or in areas that I need the money. Most of the products that I have sold are either items I've had for a long time (which I don't have much passion for anymore), or are items that I intend to flip from garage sales, thrift stores, or antique shops (flipping a product means buying it at a lower price, and selling it for more). You shouldn't just sell items on there because you simply want to have some money in your wallet. Instead, think about finding products around your house that you wouldn't be upset about if you didn't have anymore, or items at local yard sales in your neighborhood.
4.) You're able to build a brand on eBay, which can come in multiple forms. For instance, most of the products I wish to sell online are either sports memorabilia or apparel & accessories. I occasionally sell items outside of my comfort zone, but I do research about the product before taking any initiatives on listing them. If people (hopefully) have a great experience purchasing products through me, then when they are looking for other potential items in these similar categories, they will know for sure that I can be a reliable source.
5.) You have the capabilities of either selling items through auction format listings or through fixed rate format listings. If you know your products well, and know that people will be bidding on it, then a fixed rate format listing might be the best option for you. If you aren't entirely sure about how much similar items are going for, then an auction format listing would a better fit. You also have the access to setting up both auction & fixed rate format listings for the same item.
There are many more reasons to begin selling today on eBay, but the reasons above are why I chose this platform instead of others. To learn more on how you can begin your online selling business, click on the following link: eBay
