The market has become saturated with an array of streaming services, subscriptions, and packages that might overwhelm you when going through which ones to pick. There is endless content that would typically cost you hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars if you were to have them all. However, thanks to YouTube, you won't need a majority of them!
For only $11.99/month, YouTube allows you to continuously watch hours of content ad free. A lot of people don't see YouTube as a gateway into gaining incredible knowledge or access into information that only a select few would know about, but that's all changing. Instead of carelessly watching videos for entertainment purposes only (which in fact is still fun thanks to listening in on podcasts like ImPaulsive or The Joe Rogan Experience), you can now immerse into videos that are uploaded by ordinary people which provide you with information that can change your life forever.
Yes, there is a lot of content on YouTube that raises eyebrows or saturates the material you were wishing to actually watch, but you can easily avoid these dilemmas. With the abilities to like (and unlike) videos in addition to subscribing to channels that I enjoy, I am always shown videos that peak my interest. Rather than having to scour across the platform to find something somewhat informational/inspirational to me, the YouTube Algorithm provides me more time watching (and less time searching). YouTube has also created a platform where average-day individuals can become overnight successes... including you!
Interested in digital art and want to become the next up-and-coming NFT (nonfungible token) artist? There's a niche on YouTube for that. What about learning a new trade to improve your home and save you money over time? Yup, it has that too. What about a skill you have and want to share it with the world? No problem...
For me, my interests surround investment opportunities and how to remain focused on the long-term goals I have in life. Remarkably, I gained most of my financial savviness thanks to watching videos from some of my favorite YouTubers out there including Andrei Jikh, Graham Stephen, Bruce Wang, JJ Buckner, and Bitboy Crypto. Being able to watch each of these individuals grow astronomically over the past few years, which has motivated me to start my own journey to financial freedom with side-hustles including Gen-Achievers, has been incredible and eye-opening. There are plenty of other YouTubers who I didn't mention who are just as amazing at what they do, but the list from above were the core individuals who really sparked that drive in me.
If you are at that stage where you want to learn something and hope to use YouTube as an educational platform, then I usually recommend that you start off with a core list of channels (similar to my approach) that you thoroughly enjoy watching so you don't get lost in the weeds with content. This way, you're remaining focused on what it is you want to learn and are aware that the information you're hearing is from trustworthy sources.
I also enjoy a wide variety of music, with little-to-no distastes of any genre whatsoever. On some days, I might need an extra boost of energy before my workout and want to crank on some EDM while the next I'm enjoying some bluegrass tunes on my back porch.
Whatever the case maybe, I can attest that YouTube has become one of the greatest assets you can invest in. That is, if you take the right approach and have an open-mind to learning something new!
