What We’ve Learned So Far From Blogging

For over a decade, blogging has converted to a trend that a lot of individuals are leaning towards when it comes to making passive income, sharing their own stories, and learning through others who have similar interests – We’re hoping Gen-Achievers can become a staple part of this industry! While our site might appear impressive, professional, or “out-of-this-world” when compared to our competitors, you wouldn’t believe we’re at this point in our young company if you were to see our business just a few months ago….
With this in mind, we’re here to share our lessons about what we’ve learned so far from blogging and some of our opinions on what you could do to better prepare for your journey. That way, we hope you only encounter bumps in the road rather than the mountains we had to overcome.
Before reading on, we’d like to thank the support & care our friends, family, and associates have given us along the way. Because of them, we were finally able to create the platform we’ve been imagining since January 2019.

Being patient with creating your platform is by far one of the most important keys to success when it comes to blogging. Trust us, we began Gen-Achievers a few months into 2019, and we’re still just getting started on most of the logistics. Like any business, priorities come up that need to be taken care of before anything else occurs, even if you planned this out already. If this is your side hustle like ours, then your main concerns are probably not even associated to your blog….
Focus on how much time you truly need to put into your blog each day, week, and month; don’t overwhelm yourself from the gecko. We recognized that balancing graduate school, full-time positions, other side jobs, and adequate social lives were all areas that had to be measured out before we dug ourselves deeper into this project. In fact, it took us almost a year to finally figure out a schedule that fit all of our agendas.
Make sure to only share information about your blog with those you trust. If you think your concept has a good niche, you’ll likely want to pitch your concept to others in hopes you receive some positive feedback and support. However, there are some risks associated with involving too many people in the early stages of your blog:
1.) After telling someone you just met about your ideas, they could take them and make their own blog,
2.) The interests surrounding your blog is positive, but you have nothing to show when it really matters,
3.) You over-promise, but under-perform
It’s also important to realize people tend to ask those frustrating questions that even you aren’t sure how to answer… here’s some that we usually encounter on most occasions:
“So, when are you going to publish your website?” “How are you going to make money with this?” “Do you even see this going anywhere?”
When we first started Gen-Achievers, we thought that creating content and writing blog posts was going to be the hardest part of building our brand, but we were wrong on so many levels….
In fact, generating consistent material has been easier than what we expected since that is what we love to do (hence why we wanted to create this blog in the first place!). The true test, in our opinion, has been formulating a website that resonated with the message we were attempting to exhibit.
Developing a website through Wix, WordPress, or other third party vendors is easy to start – you just need to set up a free account before getting the ball rolling. Most of these businesses offer templates that you can go off of if you don’t feel like you need to begin at phase one. Unlike building a site that requires coding capabilities, these websites enable users to produce stunning content that could be mistaken for the “real deal”. But then again, even with this access, making a more-than-average site is harder than it appears.
Thanks to our good friend & associate Rob Kubala, owner of Kubala Design, we have been able to successfully redesign our website to the stature of how we anticipated it to be without the hassle. Rob was able to guide us through the process of not only the way the site should look, but also how the user experience (UX) has an effect on getting our content out there more productively.
If you are like us a few months ago and aren’t sure about where your site stands or how to get started making your own web-page, make sure to contact Kubala Design – you may get brownie points of you mention that we sent you!
All said and done, if you want to start your own blog, then we suggest that you don’t wait any longer. The more you hold off on beginning it, the greater the likelihood you won’t even follow through with making this your side hustle, or better yet, your full-time gig. If you have any questions or hope to learn more about our experience starting out, you can contact us through email: info@genachievers.com
