One of the most difficult yet rewarding, overwhelming yet exciting, and confusing yet enlightening purchase an individual will make in their lifetime is an engagement ring. This could result in getting the wrong style, paying a lot more because the person you are with is influencing you to upgrade, or even going with the cheaper diamond/ring since the person you are with is telling you to pay less which turns into getting a poorly designed ring.

Think about going shopping for other items such as clothes. I can bet that a good amount of your wardrobe was purchased based off of someone else telling you they like it rather than you buying it personally.

Make sure the jeweler you plan on purchasing the ring from treats you with respect, and not like a customer. This may sound cliché, but jewelers realize that purchasing an engagement ring is not like any other item you will ever get.
